The Organic Biobased Bamboo Toothbrush is the most environmentally friendly toothbrush made with organic moso bamboo and castor oil-based bristles. This is a great zero waste alternative to the traditional plastic toothbrush that will pollute the ocean. The bamboo handles are compostable and made from sustainably-grown bamboo. The wavy bio-based bristles are perfect for cleaning and massaging teeth and gums. Choosing a natural toothbrush is one of the best ways to live sustainably.

It comes in a recycled brown box.

BRISTLE SOFTNESS: Medium, wave design

SIZE:
Adult size - Approx. 7.5" long x 0.8" wide

COLOR: Non-toxic painted bamboo tip with no varnishing, Frost white

MATERIAL: (all plant-based)
Handle: Organic Moso Bamboo
Bristles: Organic Castor oil based
Box: Recycled brown paper

Vegan: Yes

USE INSTRUCTIONS:

Brush teeth gently for 2 minutes with a wet toothbrush and toothpaste on the bristles. For effective teeth cleaning, replace every 3 months or until the bristles wear out. Use pliers to pull out the bristles before composting the bamboo handle at the end of life. Bristles are biodegradable but not compostable.

CARE TIP:

Rinse and air dry after each use.Do not let the bamboo handle soak in water for a long period of time, it will damage the wood.

NOTE: The paint on the tip is non-toxic without varnish, so it is normal to see paint scratch off after some time of usage. While the bristles are castor oil bio-based, they should be removed before composting. Bio-based castor bean oil bristles aren’t certified compostable and will take time to degrade. Toothpaste, floss, other styles of toothbrush, spoon, and tongue cleaner shown in the picture are NOT included.

Why should we stop using plastic toothbrushes?

The recycling center does not take contaminated toothbrushes and bristles. An estimated one billion plastic toothbrushes are thrown away in the United States each year. That means hundreds of millions of plastic toothbrushes will end up in our oceans and landfills. Plastic toothbrushes are not biodegradable and will outlive us for over 500+ years on earth.

Stronger than usual bamboo brush

Stiffer than usual bamboo brush. It will stay longer than soft brushes. I also like design and size of this brush.
